Expressions of Gratitude
The ACR highlights the practices of its dedicated leaders.
In the October 2010 ACR Bulletin, John A. Patti, M.D., FACR, chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors, introduced a new initiative, the ACR Leadership Support Recognition Program, which recognizes the practices of leaders within the College.
"It is the families and practices to which ACR leaders belong who are the unsung heroes of our specialty," Patti wrote. "Without their support, our leaders could not possibly carry out their responsibilities to the ACR and to the specialty ... . Unsung heroes deserve recognition and expressions of gratitude and appreciation."
This month, the College recognizes the practices of Council Steering Committee (CSC) members. Both elected and appointed, CSC members assist the ACR Council's Speaker and Vice Speaker and represent the council throughout the year. CSC members are also a testament to the College's diversity in geography, gender, subspecialty, and practice patterns. CSC leaders play an important role, as they are liaisons to other radiological societies, ACR state chapters, and subspecialty groups.
Without the essential support of CSC members' practices, the committee would be unable to commit its time and effort to helping the ACR advance the profession. These efforts are most appreciated.
The ACR thanks the following practices of CSC members, who generously donate their time to the College.
