Radiation Oncology Corner
The ACR annual meeting always features excellent programming such as the activities of the ACR Council as well as programming specifically designed for students, residents, and fellows. This is a great opportunity to discuss and explore critical topics in economics, health policy, and advocacy as well as an opportunity to interact with your peers and leaders within the profession. Highlights include the annual meeting of the ACR Council, an Economics Forum, a speed mentoring session for RFS and YPS members, and a keynote on artificial intelligence.
On Saturday, May 19th, the Resident and Fellow Section Meeting will run from 8am – 5pm, and this year we will have some really exciting speakers and topics.
New this year, based on helpful feedback from attendees at a prior meeting, will be a special networking event. This will include a short presentation by Dr. Flug on how to network effectively to be followed by breakout sessions at small tables with ACR leaders. One of these tables will be attended by Dr. Ellerbroek MD FACR, a practicing Radiation Oncologist and current President of CARROS. This will be a truly wonderful opportunity to talk with her, meet other radiation oncology attendees at the meeting, and learn more about how to best take advantage of the great networking opportunities this meeting can offer.
If you have not yet decided if you can attend the meeting, note that there are three available travel grants sponsored by CARROS – please see the application form here (Due COB 3/2/18) https://acrmemberservices.wufoo.com/forms/z1o2yvtm0trb4jd/

I look forward to seeing you there!
