2017 RFS Call for Nominations
The call for nominations for the 2017-2018 ACR Resident and Fellow Section (RFS) Executive Committee are now open. There is no time like the present for residents to get involved in making a difference. Residents and fellows that join the ACR RFS Executive Committee have an instrumental opportunity to shape policies and implement programs that have an impact on the present and future of radiology. Elections will be held Saturday, May 20 at the RFS Annual Meeting, in conjunction with the annual Crossroads of Radiology® meeting in Washington, DC, May 21–May 25, 2017.
The ACR RFS Nominating Committee is looking for impassioned and dedicated volunteers. Individuals who are recognized as leaders in their training programs, who are eager to be involved in forming the policies and framework for the profession of radiology or who simply want their voices to be heard at a higher level are strongly encouraged to submit their nomination for consideration.
Candidates elected to the ACR RFS Executive Committee will be the voice of over 8,000 resident and fellow members of the College. The RFS is among the most robust sections of the College, boasting over 20 percent of the ACR’s membership, and has its own set of challenges. Along with these challenges comes a unique opportunity to become involved in the developing policies and politics alongside the leadership of the American College of Radiology.
The benefits associated with serving as a member of the RFS Executive Committee include representing the College on behalf of the RFS at the 2017 RSNA conference and the 2018 ACR Annual Meeting, holding a seat on the ACR Council, and the opportunity to make invaluable connections with current ACR leadership.
